Bani Thani is a style of Indian miniature painting that originated in the 18th century in Kishangarh, Rajasthan, The style is named after Bani Thani, a singer and poet who was the mistress of Raja Sawant Singh.
Bani Thani is depicted with elegant and graceful features, rather stylized, including arched eyebrows, lotus-like elongated eyes and pointed chin. One painting of her was featured in an Indian stamp issued on 5 May 1973.
